(ENG/TR) WORLD ECONOMIC OUTLOOK — 2022
Economic forecasting has always been a challenge because it is the process used in trying to predict or anticipate future economic conditions by using various economic variables and indicators. In that respect, what does the “future” hold for us? As KIMYAPSAN, we try to follow all the details through IMF’s World Economic Outlook Reports. We would like to share the most important statements with our followers. Here are some projections according to the World Economic Outlook Report updated in January: “Although recent vaccine approvals have raised hopes of a turnaround in the pandemic later this year, renewed waves and new variants of the virus pose concerns for the outlook. Amid exceptional uncertainty, the global economy is projected to grow 5.5 percent in 2021 and 4.2 percent in 2022. The 2021 forecast is revised up 0.3 percentage point relative to the previous forecast, reflecting expectations of a vaccine-powered strengthening of activity later in the year and additional policy support in a few large economies.”

İşte Uluslararası Para Fonu’nun (IMF) Ocak ayında güncellediği Dünya Ekonomik Görünüm Raporuna göre bazı tahminler: “Son aşı onayları bu yılın sonlarında salgında geri dönüş umutlarını artırsa da, tekrarlayan dalgalar ve virüsün yeni varyantları Görünüm Raporu için endişe oluşturuyor. Olağanüstü belirsizliğin ortasında, küresel ekonominin 2021'de yüzde 5,5 ve 2022'de yüzde 4,2 büyüyeceği tahmin ediliyor. 2021 tahmini, önümüzeki aylarda aşıdan dolayı faaliyetlerde güçlenme ve birkaç büyük ekonomide ek politika desteği ile beklentilerin artacağı düşünülerek önceki tahmine göre 0,3 puan artırılmıştır.”
