- “Adhesive” is a word that includes many different compounds, materials, chemicals, and substances that are mostly for the purpose of attaching one thing to another.

- “Glue” is one of many “adhesives” that is applied in liquid form and dries hard to hold materials together.

Therefore, glue is an adhesive. Adhesive can be glue, but it can also be epoxy, tree sap, pretty much anything that holds one thing to another without a mechanical fastener.
